Contemporary kitchens are minimalist and geometric, encompassing the
sleek styles of the modern world while incorporating the classic styles
of the 1940’s. Asymmetry, straight lines, lack of moldings and other
ornamental options with a full overlay construction help drive home a
welcoming yet modern feel. By definition, the contemporary style is always in flux. It is safe
to say, however, that “contemporary” indicates the exclusive use of
straight, clean lines with an absence of extra curves or ornamentation.
The common element is an uncluttered, form-follows-function look where
simplicity rules.
